Sacramento Real Estate Prices Back to Pre-bubble Levels
According to the latest real estate figures, Sacramento real estate prices are now officially back at a pre-bubble average, which is good news in terms of recovery for the real estate industry’s pricing and values. Sacramento Realtor Mel Calagui, a real estate agent with RE/MAX Gold, explores what this means for home buyers and home sellers in California.
A Look at the Sacramento Real Estate Market Today
Currently, Sacramento real estate prices have a median price of $295,000 which is on par with the median figures we were seeing pre-real estate bubble in the spring of 2004. In mid 2004, we saw home prices surge by upwards of 25%.
Notably, today’s prices are still far below the peak that we saw in August 2005, but this is actually good news, as the prices seen during the real estate bubble were significantly inflated. Ultimately, it was this inflation that contributed to the dramatic change in the real estate market when the “bubble burst.”
